The mission of the Washington State Veterans Peer Corps is to support, encourage, and empower those who served through local, community based, peer mentorships. Join us in the north Seattle and Shoreline area on November 16 to build community and capacity to serve and support our veterans and their families. REGISTER HERE

In support of our national campaign on Veterans Day, we are going to support Rainier Beach Action Network, Seattle Neighhood Group and other local community activists to help improving safe access to a well-used alleyway behind Dunlap Elementary School and the Somali Community Center.

Join the Seattle Wind Symphony, conducted by Dr. John Falskow and special guests America’s 1st Corps Band from JBLM as they perform music specifically selected to honor all veterans and active-duty military personnel for their service to our nation.

The Red Badge Project mentors Suzanne Morrison and Sonya Lea invite you to join us for our Women Veterans Reading. This is a chance to honor their service on Veteran’s Day by hearing their stories. The event is free and we hope you’ll come and celebrate them with us. Co-sponsored by Hugo House.

The workshop will provide an overview of the Veterans History Project and train participants on interviewing techniques and technology skills necessary to interview veterans on their time in the military and submit these narratives for archiving at the U.S. Library of Congress. The City of Auburn is proud to be a Vietnam War Commemorative Partner. Auburn has hosted the Veterans Parade since 1965. Now in its 54th year, the parade has grown into one of the largest parades of its kind in the United States of America.

WeWork and Bunker Labs Minneapolis are excited to celebrate the graduation of the Veterans In Residence program for their latest tribe. The program offers United States military veterans and spouses fully-sponsored workspaces to help entrepreneurs build and grow their businesses.

Details: Veterans who have been away from the civilian workforce are eligible for a variety of programs to help them return to work. This training will familiarize participants with federal, state, and local programs available to veterans in our area who would benefit from retraining or supportive employment. We encourage case workers, social service professionals, educators, hiring managers, and anyone interested in helping veterans find meaningful employment to attend. Join us to learn, share, network, and collaborate.
