The six-story, 219,000-square-foot building will house more than 250 mental-health staff members and 60 researchers and their laboratories. The building will be comprised of a blast-protected curtain wall and a metal panel facade. The main hospital will remain fully operational throughout the construction process.

The project will produce the first new health care building on the Seattle campus since 1998.
