Projects for a Civil Society in partnership with the Recovery Cafe in Tacoma is convening veterans, providers, and neighbors for an empowering 3-day workshop to foster connections to community through compassion, empathy, hope, and humor.
The transforming conflict workshop is based on the Alternatives to Violence model that has broken down barriers within and among people affected by trauma all over the world, in prisons, conflict zones, the streets, post disaster, or anywhere people seek to reclaim the goodness inside of them.
Ongoing workshops with incarcerated veterans in Pierce County has demonstrated the power of this workshop to transform anger in to awareness, conflict in to reconciliation.
Come for yourself, the people you serve, and your community.
