Please join us for the 7th Annual VA Mental Health Summit. This event offers the opportunity to network among behavioral health care professionals and colleagues, and to share resources, best practices, and identify topics of importance for veterans. Break out sessions will focus on Peer Mentoring, Treating TBI and PTSD, Suicide Prevention, Coaching into Care, Veteran Services Organizations, Accessing VA Mental Health Services, Mental Health Services Available regardless of Discharge Status. (6 CEUs available)

Objectives:

To increase understanding of, and collaboration with, VA personnel and community-based providers;

To highlight and understand factors of peer mentoring;

To present latest approaches to the treatment of PTSD and TBI;

To present latest update regarding the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Suicide Prevention;

To enhance understanding of VA Mental Health Services access points;

To enahnce access/connection to Non VA Veteran Service Organizations;

To provide education regarding Menthal Health Agencies providing services regardless of discharge status.

Cost: Free! Please register by August 15th, 2019

Parking: $3/day on campus (pay at the Kiosk in front of the Colin Education Hall)

Free CEUs & Clock Hours: Workshop certificate documents hours of instruction toward Continuing Education Units. Clock-hour forms are available, no-cost, upon completion of the workshop and evaluation.
